Gustavo Ross Quaas is a pioneering entrepreneur, leader, and expert in the field of technology, with a special focus on artificial intelligence, health-tech, and digital businesses.

At the Fundación Mexicana para la Salud, Gustavo co-founded and leads the Mexican Observatory for Intelligence and Health Research. Additionally, he recently assumed leadership of the Transform Health Coalition in Mexico, a global organisation aiming to achieve universal health coverage through digital and intelligent technologies.

Gustavo is involved in the development of cutting-edge projects that drive efficiency and innovation, primarily in the healthcare sector, such as Sintomatix, AI Health Xpert, and CardioTherMetrics. His focus is particularly on the application of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, contributing to the development of applications and devices that enhance diagnostics, patient monitoring, as well as the quality and accessibility of healthcare.

With a career spanning over two decades in the technology industry, Gustavo has co-founded successful startups and associations and led high-performance teams in the design and development of innovative solutions for clients including Siemens, Novartis, GSK, Nestlé, BBVA, and Bayer, among others.

He is an electronics engineer with a specialisation in artificial intelligence from the University of Texas at Austin and is committed to knowledge dissemination and fostering emerging ventures. He has mentored multiple startups through 500 Startups and Harvard Med School.

Gustavo also leads the first Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Medical Professionals, aiming to empower healthcare professionals in utilising AI to enhance care and diagnostics. Additionally, he is a master’s level lecturer at the Universidad Panamericana, where he teaches subjects related to artificial intelligence, innovation, and digital businesses.
